Honey, I shrunk the dog!

This morning I woke up to my sweet doggins, Peanut.
She was this big:

Then, I brought her to Nancy at Petsmart in Dublin.
Nancy has been our friend for 2 years now.
Even though its such a long drive, we always come back to Nancy because she does an AMAZING job with our little girl. Highly recommended!
Anyway, I picked her up, and she was THIS BIG:

Now she is even softer and fluffier and ready to cheer for the Browns! They need all the help they can get!

Tonight some young volunteers for the Democratic party stopped by to canvass for Barack Obama.  This happens a lot in my neighborhood. What a political hotbed, that German Village. I never want to open the door, you know, because its a stranger, but I always do because door-to-door ANYTHING would be such a hard job. I always feel sorry for them. The volunteers were very nice and Peanut made fast friends again, even though she tends to vote Republican.

Jeremy says: "Peanut is a red state, for sure."
Me, on the other hand, not so sure. I'm still undecided...but that's another blog.

This is a picture of Peanut and me the night I brought her home. I drove all the way to Powhatan Point, Ohio to get her. It was a long drive, and I was really nervous.  I had never had a house dog before, and still wasn't sure how it was going to work with residency and call in full swing. She was born at Carol Galavich's kennel, Pixie Poms. When she came home, she was six months old, not potty trained (at all!), and was a pleasant home for a family of fleas.
  YUCK!

But we loved her anyway.

Now, we just couldn't imagine our life without her. She is always happy to see you. Always wants some of your food. Always wants to be in the middle of the party. Rarely barks. Never bites. And her favorite thing is just to be held.

And I am happy to oblige.
